Kevlar is the musical project of three very close friends. Maybe even best friends. Depending which one of them you ask. The three members have participated in various projects over the years, but Kevlar is where they discovered new possibilities. Their driving sound can be attributed to who they first started to really look up to musically, and had the chance to play with.

Today, Kevlar spends countless hours sifting through gear, lots and lots of gear, experimenting with different techniques, and watching underwhelming comedy/ listening to hip-hop. On any given night you will see them at their studio, improv jamming an idea that is gone into the universe forever,or captured and worked through. True spontaneous combustion.

For their follow-up debut Chrome Seats, the group has enlisted the services of their pal, Sonny DiPerri (DIIV, Animal Collective, Portugal The Man) behind the glass, as an engineer/ producer.The six song EP is a diverse thunderstorm of connectivity, with no jagged edges. There are four songs that have been part of the project, but the band has come in roaring with a complete new view and sonic tone differentiating from live show performance. The other two tracks are a thrilling look towards bending sounds that can be interpreted as a band that has yet to scratch the surface on their true ability to span genres while living in the same universe.
